Picture this: the lights are shining brightly onto the arena; you feel a rumbling beneath your feet as the crowd starts roaring in anticipation. The announcer booms over the speakers, “Let’s Rodeo, San Antonio!” And rodeo, they do!
Nothing beats a seat at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas during the Stock Show and Rodeo. As one of the best and most well-known competitions of its kind, it’s no wonder that the San Antonio Rodeo hosts some of the best athletes in the rodeo world as they compete for the title of Event Champion.
The Tru Western team would like to give a special shoutout to the 2021 Champions: Bareback Riding Champion {Clayton Biglow}
Steer Wrestling Champion {Stockton Graves}, Team Roping Champions {Clay Smith & Jade Corkill}, and a new arena record! Saddle Bronc Riding Champion {Kolby Wanchuk}, Tie Down Roping Champion {Adam Gray}, Barrel Racing Champion {Carly Taylor},
and Bull Riding Champion {Stetson Wright}.
With such a big rodeo win under their belts, these cowboys and cowgirl will be sure to carry some confidence into their upcoming rodeos – and we can’t wait to follow along as they do!
