The American Rodeo
Did you catch The American rodeo in AT&T stadium this past weekend? It was a weekend full of the best rodeo riders in the country doing what they do best. Contestants from all over the U.S. came together to compete for the chance at $2 million dollars. The six events were Bareback riding, Tie-Down Roping, Breakaway Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding.
Some contestants were invited based off making the National Finals Rodeo last year, while others went through the grueling qualifying system where they competed against everyone else who qualified, finally narrowing down to 10 contestants to compete in the AT&T stadium finals. Only the contestants who went through the qualifying system were able to win the $2 million. Everyone else had the possibility of winning one-hundred thousand dollars.
This is the 9th year that The American rodeo has been held in AT&T Stadium and every year has been a full of excitement. Some highlights from this year include the bareback riding back-to-back champion Tilden Hooper, 20-time Women’s Professional Rodeo Association Breakaway Champion Jackie Crawford, and of course the only person able to take home the 2 million dollars was bull rider Kaique Pacheco.
