Playing Close to Home

In honor of Superbowl Sunday, we wanted to point out some of Tru Western’s favorite football players. Dalton Risner is a small-town Colorado kid who has excelled through the ranks to become a professional football player for the Denver Broncos. Growing up on a ranch with cattle is unique, but so are some of the names Risner has given to his cattle. You get to meet Beyonce, and we are not talking about the singer. Beyonce is one of the cattle you will meet when you check out Risner's YouTube below when he shows us his childhood ranch. Being located close to his family and hometown was a big bonus for Risner as its only about a 2-hour trip home for him. Plus, how nice is it that he can enjoy all the animals on the ranch while still maintaining his career as a professional NFL player.

Dalton Risner is all about giving back and this quality shows through his work with the Special Olympics. As most of you know we love giving back, especially to our charity we support Higher Ground. Both organizations support activities for children with disabilities, giving them opportunity to have fun and stay active. This year, Risner has become a board member for the Special Olympics Colorado where he has received the 2020 Denver Broncos Community Impact Award. Super bowl is most definitely all about chicken wings and beers, but it is nice to hear that these players also play their part giving back.
